What began as a single ceremony has grown into a movement. At Laadli Janmotsav 2025, families planted a sapling for every girl child born that month, opened a Sukanya Samriddhi account in her name, and pledged to celebrate her every milestone.
The day was filled with folk performances, community feasts, and the voices of mothers who, for the first time, felt their daughters' births publicly honoured. "Aaj meri beti ka janmadin poore gaon ne manaya" — today my whole village celebrated my daughter's birthday — said one mother, holding back tears.
The Foundation distributed welcome kits, immunisation guidance, and enrolled 1,000+ families into its year-long support programme.
